I’m Now a Seed Planter
With this being the second book that I read of Mr. Brubaker, I was somewhat cynically expecting similar leadership concepts listed out in a different way. Instead, the author took me on a narrative ride that immediately had me caught between the pages that I couldn’t stop turning. As a public-speaking trainer, I always teach the importance of knowing the audience and relating stories that can easily be remembered and applied. I was enthralled with the easy transitions between chapters and concepts. The emphasis throughout the book about how sports translate into business hit home. My love for business and sports were combined to make an enjoyable and easy read that will stick with me for a long time. I was fortunate to get a signed copy from the author. The inscription read, “Be a seed planter!” Not knowing what is was, I found myself assessing my own commitments and legacy throughout the book and found the power of sharing even more with others.
