May is Mental Health Awareness Month so what better time to share what I’m about to tell you.
As someone who struggled with depression and anxiety in 2019, one of my missions in life now is raising awareness about mental health.
Given what’s going on in the world, now more than ever there are so many people struggling with depression and anxiety. And you can’t easily identify in others it because it’s an invisible injury so to speak, there’s no visible bandage or cast, no crutches. It’s a silent attack that goes on between your ears.
Did you know it’s the #1 killer of men over 35?
I speak from a place of experience when I tell you that depression isn’t something you simply defeat once. You have to learn to proactively overcome how you feel, day in day out. Each day I worry about sliding backwards if I’m not careful about protecting my mindset.
So I’m pleased to announce that one of the ways I’ll be raising awareness (and funds) for mental health is through a lifestyle clothing brand I’ve started… CUCO.
This is a project that I’ve had on my heart for a while now and have had my team working on behind the scenes preparing to unveil it this month.
CUCO is an acronym that stands for Chin Up, Chest Out. And the motto is Move Forward.
The message serves as a reminder that no matter what life throws at you keep your chin up, chest out and most importantly move forward.
It’s more than just a slogan, CUCO is a mindset and a way of life. (more about that in another email)
A percentage of all sales from the brand is donated to mental health organizations in the United States. To celebrate the formal launch, from now until May 31 at midnight you’ll receive a 20% discount plus FREE shipping on all orders. At checkout, just enter the promo code: MAY20
